Scope
Biometric systems have been widely and mainly studied for its use in security applications. Nowadays, other applications, as biomedicine, psychology and/or forensic applications are using biometric information in order to get innovation and better successes.
Most of the today solutions however operate on different methods. The use of Multivariate Processing can reach specialized systems to provide possible best conditions for image processing.
Topics cover all biometric modalities, and multimodal systems, using any kind of sensor or range of acquisition.

Scope
Bio-inspired systems that are motivated by human auditory physiology and perception are being used in several speech and audio applications. The multi-resolution spectral analysis and non-linear transformations present at various stages of the auditory modelling have been investigated extensively for many speech and audio applications. The aim of this session is to discuss about theoretical and applied aspects of bio-inspired systems and techniques.

Stress has been baptized "the black death of the 21st century". Whether this will become the case or not, it is evident that the number of stress related health problems increase rapidly.
